The morning dawn will bring about a long awaited dispute between our very own FnaticMSI
and Polish side AGAiN. The clash couldn't have come in a better moment
for our Swedes, given their crushing win over Korean side WMF and along
with it, the qualification into the semi's of the WEM.
The
Swedes were certainly eager today to prove they've still got their
magic going and a rather average Dreamhack participation didn't mean
that this is the end of their 2009 peak. More is set to come and
hopefully tomorrow will bring about a new kick-off for the Fnatic fans.
FnaticMSI kept themselves highly
ambitious today, as they went into their qualification deciding match.
The Swedes took the situation under control from the very first moment
and that has certainly shown in the final score. If a good night sleep
is all that they need to keep the same play-style going tomorrow then
let's hope nobody disturbs them, because with this chemistry going
nothing can stand in their way, let it be AGAiN, PG or TyLoo whichever
name comes up.
Additionally the fact that the most recent clash between the two teams
was in the World Cyber Games grand final only makes the upcoming match
more interesting; both sides are in China to win it, yet everyone
suspects a second clash was in the mind of both Fnatic and AGAiN, in
the sense that our Swedes need a revenge over the denial of their
missing trophy, meanwhile the Poles need to show again what they're
made of, especially in front of 2009's best Counter-Strike name.
Previously people awaited an all Swedish clash of the Fnatic versus SK
or MYM type, yet now this shapes up to become the match of the event.
Round one over! Round two set to kick-off..
Theoretically, our boys are stronger with three direct clashes against the Poles this year, out of which
FnaticMSI
came out on top on two occasions. Whether this is meaningful or not
remains to be seen, yet the figures remain there. At the same time,
it's true enough that the Poles managed to take the best out of our
team in the recent WCG clash, yet their form in the aftermath left
people unconvinced. The Arbalet Cup brought back an image of a squad
which is quite good, yet not strong enough to promote a fearless image
of themselves. Many could mention the same thing about Fnatic's
attendance at Dreamhack, yet without making excuses, one cannot equally
compare situations which are slightly different.
We need to see more of this tomorrow!
Then there's the issue of the missing and replacing links. Both pasha
and threat have shown a good game so far, yet tomorrow is a moment for
both of them to step up, as their roles are essential in the overall
evolution of their respective teams. Their playing styles are different
with pasha being more of fragger and threat offering further stability
and calmness to our team's play-style; so how will the current line-ups
alter the result remains to be seen. The match is set to kick-off at
07:00 CET, so stay tuned with us and keep cheering for our boys.
